Mesh health: a flood advert is rebroadcast by every repeater in range, so frequent floods add airtime for the whole network. Keep them infrequent (a day or more). Your neighbours still see you from zero-hop adverts and your message replies, so flood mainly when distant nodes need to rediscover you. Leave both Off to advertise only when you tap the buttons above. How tiles work:\nThe map is built from 256×256 "slippy" tiles. Only the tiles for the area you're viewing are fetched — there is no bulk pre-download.\n\nBecause this device can't do HTTPS (not enough heap after Wi-Fi starts) and decodes JPEG far more cheaply than PNG, tiles come from the wadamesh proxy: it fetches the upstream PNG over HTTPS with an identifying User-Agent, re-encodes it as JPEG, and caches it. Your device then caches each tile to its own flash, so a tile is only downloaded once.\n\nUse Options → Reload tiles to re-download the tiles currently in view if one looks corrupted.
