# --- New ---
Orientation: Settings now offers four choices, Portrait, Portrait 180, Landscape and Landscape 180, on every board that can rotate, including the T-Display P4, the CrowPanel P4 10.1 and the Wio Tracker L2 (#698, #701 by oumike). The Wio Tracker L2 and the CrowPanel P4 10.1 start in landscape once after this update.
Contacts and Discovered can be sorted by Fewest hops (#718, asked for by mrickey, built by oumike).
USB Files (files.wadamesh.com over the USB cable) now also works on the T-LoRa Pager, the Heltec V4-R8, the RAK WisMesh Tap V2 and the Wio Tracker L2, every board whose USB socket is the ESP32-S3's own. Uploads are about 30 times faster: 1 reply in 5 sat in the USB chip's buffer until the next write and the page waited 3 seconds for it each time. About 120 KB/s to the SD card, was 4 KB/s.
T-Deck: a damaged trackball can be switched off (Settings, Keyboard, Navigation, "Use the trackball"), for balls that click and roll by themselves (asked for on Discord). With it off, Space still locks, Enter on the lit lock screen unlocks (with a PIN set it opens the PIN screen), and power off wakes only with the reset button, so a phantom click cannot switch the device on.
T-Display P4 with the keyboard: the keyboard light and the screen backlight are separate. They shared one PWM channel, so the brightness slider dimmed the keyboard and F11 dimmed the screen. F11 now only changes the keyboard light, the slider only the screen, and Settings, Keyboard has its own keyboard light choice (asked for by zomgugoff).
Wio Tracker L2: the speaker plays notification chimes (#712, by oumike).

# --- Fixes ---
P4 boards (T-Display P4, CrowPanel P4 10.1, Tanmatsu): a crash now restarts the device instead of freezing on its last frame, which looked like a blue screen after boot; the crash report is still saved.
T-Display P4 and CrowPanel P4 10.1: if the board crashes with Wi-Fi on (within a minute of starting it, or twice in half an hour), the next boot switches Wi-Fi off and says so; turn it back on in Settings to try again. Boards whose Wi-Fi chip runs very old firmware crashed every time Wi-Fi started.
Button captions shrink, then wrap, when a translation is too wide for the button (#418, reported by B0N3-GD, built by oumike).
Wallpapers and background pictures load on boards that keep files on SD_MMC or internal storage, like the T-Display P4 (#691, reported by zomgugoff, fixed by oumike).
A settings page opened from the control center stays in front of the app drawer (#696, oumike).
Emoji in a settings field are drawn instead of empty boxes (#690 by tun0).
Lua apps draw correctly on e-paper screens (#704 by Ender436).
The region scope of a message shows in its Info and under the bubble (#594, reported by DenRalle).
Heltec V4-R8: the chat bar buttons are easier to hit and a near miss no longer opens the control center (#598, reported by Jess-39).
A slider drag is no longer cut off as a swipe, so the new value is saved; avatar initials fit their circle at large UI sizes; the on-screen keyboard's symbol keys are readable in dark mode (oumike).
T-Deck Pro: Settings, the chat composer and the boot screen are easier to read on e-paper (oumike).
Mesh Deck: no on-screen keyboard while the keyboard module is attached, and the Device page says whether it is (oumike).
CrowPanel P4 10.1: the touch controller gets 300 ms after its reset before the first command, as some panels need (suggested by David on Discord).
